Iron Lung is an independent Philadelphia based improv troupe who formed in January 2011. In the short time they have been performing together Iron Lung has made a name for themselves in the Philadelphia improv community performing at the F. Harold Festival, The Philly Fringe Festival, and The Philly Improv Festival along with countless other venues around the city of brotherly love including The Philly Improv Theater. By March, they will have participated in The NYC Improv Festival, being one of the six groups to represent the city of Philadelphia.

Consisting of Dennis Trafny, Tara Demmy, Maureen Costello, Ellen Q Jaquette, Kevin Pettit, Carly Maurer Kaufmann, Corin Wells, Jess Carpenter, and Simon Burger, Iron Lung combines the learned skill of grounded scenes with the instinctive art of bold character work.  Each member adds their personal style and creativity giving them the versatility to attack all subject matter in their adaptation of The Evente.  Coached by Amie Roe of the Philly duo The Amie and Kristen Show, Iron Lung takes the structure of the Evente and transforms it into an enjoyably hilarious show for their audience.
